Crowds flock to 2010 Stithians Show
12:16pm Monday 12th July 2010
Crowds have spent the morning flocking into Stithians today to enjoy the biggest one-day agricultural Show in Cornwall.
People have been enjoying the huge array of exhibits and competitions, ranging from cattle and goats to steam engines and fun fair rides.
President Jim Large officially opened the show by hoisting the flag at 10am. He said that everyone was hoping for a dry day after the torrential downpour at last year’s event.
“The show ground is looking amazing as it always is, and it is my immense pleasure to host the 2010 Stithians Show, something I have always wanted to do since I was a boy.”
